About Dr Adrian Boscolo
Frontline clinician, health informatician, and passionate educator
Bridging Clinical Care and Digital Innovation
I'm Dr Adrian Boscolo, currently serving as Acting Chief Medical Information Officer at Sydney Local Health District. My journey in healthcare has always been driven by a simple belief: technology should enhance, not complicate, the practice of medicine.
With almost a decade of clinical experience as a general practitioner, combined with deep expertise in health informatics and governance, I understand the unique challenges healthcare organisations face when implementing digital innovations. I've lived these challenges from both sides—as a clinician at the coalface and as a leader responsible for district-wide digital strategy.
My approach is grounded in practical wisdom. I don't just talk about theory—I've led real implementations, navigated complex governance processes, and helped clinicians embrace new technologies while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that effective digital health education starts with understanding the real-world context of healthcare delivery. Technology is a tool, not a solution in itself. My approach focuses on empowering healthcare leaders and clinicians to:
- Think critically about AI and digital health tools—understanding both their potential and limitations
- Navigate governance frameworks with confidence, balancing innovation with safety
- Implement successfully with practical, evidence-based strategies
My sessions are interactive, practical, and grounded in real-world examples. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I work with organisations to understand their unique context and develop tailored approaches that work for their specific needs.
